August? Time to plan your green school initiatives.

Post Sort Workshop

Students examine wasted natural resources.

If incorporating environmentally responsible choices at your school is important, now is the time to start planning.  Launching green initiatives can be challenging.  That’s why we partner with schools like yours to strategize the best approach to implementing comprehensive, successful programs.  Whether you want to start recycling  or promote waste-free lunches we can help.

Last year we worked with 10,000+ students and sorted through over 1,500 pounds of trash to develop an understanding of natural resources and the importance of making eco-friendly choices.  Promoting solutions for all ages is essential to achieve vibrant, healthy communities.

This August, make a few calls to ensure initiatives are part of the school agenda.  Invite friends to email your principal emphasizing that environmental literacy is important to all families.

START NOWAugust checklist:

1. Recruit support from your principal

2. Reach out to the PTA for leadership and a budget to support projects

3. Connect with Peace, Love & Planet to discuss how we can help and programs

4. Promote green initiatives at “Back to School” events. Create a display and recruit parent volunteers.
